PUF Cold Room Panels for Temperature-Controlled Storage

Cold room panels form the insulated envelope of a temperature-controlled room. Metro PUF Cold Room Panels use a rigid Polyurethane Foam (PUF) core between steel facings to reduce heat transfer and help maintain the required internal temperature.

These panels are suitable for cold storage facilities where controlled temperature and hygienic internal surfaces are important. Panel thickness, joint configuration, facing material and room design should be selected according to the operating temperature, room size, product stored and refrigeration system.

Important buyer information

For a cold room, panel thickness should not be selected only on price. The required thickness depends on the intended operating temperature and the complete refrigeration design.

Current manufacturers use different thickness ranges for chillers, freezers and other cold-chain applications, so the final specification should be confirmed against the project’s temperature requirement.

Metro PUF’s current published cold-room specification lists a PUF core, 40 ± 2 kg/m³ density and 30/50 mm options, but I recommend verifying the actual current production range before putting those numbers into WooCommerce.
